Some examples: after the player performs certain moves, part of the ring flashes allowing for a follow-up move, however nowhere in the games controls or tutorial does it tell you which commands to activate the follow-up move. The controls are explained poorly in game.Although the small roster was eventually expanded over time with "free DLC updates", you still had to purchase most of the "DLC" wrestlers in game with virtual currency, making them more of a "regular roster update" instead of "free DLC update".Extremely small roster, compared to the WWE 2K games that had over hundreds of wrestlers to choose from.The online multiplayer is just a slobber knocker, and it barely has any match support.As wrestlers are divided up into five classes, (Powerhouse, Technician, High-Flyer, Brawler, and All-Rounder) it makes each wrestler in each class play in the same way.And on top of all that, there is no Community Creations.Even WWE All Stars had more items than this game. Due to this, you cannot make any wrestler that great. And you cannot create custom colors, nor upload logos for face scans, and other things. Limited Superstar Creation system, as there is barely things to put on your superstar.Many of the wrestlers never look like their real counterparts due to lack for face scans.
But in this game, it's mandatory for the whole game. Even WWE 2K20 had Loot Packs, but they were only for the M圜areer mode. And to make matters worse, you cannot even have a great moveset, have all of the CAW parts, or all of the superstars unless you either grind or spend money to get virtual currency for the game.
The graphics, while not terrible, looks like something that came from a seventh generation console game, despite using Unreal Engine 4.
