Scoresby Sund (350km) in Greenland is actually the longest fjord in the world, but the next two on the list belong to Western Norway - the Sognefjord (203km) and the Hardanger Fjord (179km). Each is a deep inlet of the ocean bordered on each side by stunning glaciated cliffs (being a fjord and all - check out our basic guide to fjords here), and many offer you the chance of seeing the northern lights as well.
